The Sabi Sand Wildtuin

The Sabi Sand Wildtuin (SSW) prides itself in being the oldest private game reserve in South Africa. Driven by conservation, SSW has pioneered a host of wildlife and conservation management practices over the years and is managed by a dedicated and highly skilled team of professionals.

A proclaimed protected area, the reserve consists of 49 481 hectares adjacent to Kruger National Park. With open boundaries on the eastern and northern parts of the SSW, wildlife movement and species diversity are at its best and wildlife have the space to roam naturally. The SSW is known for its unparalleled Big Five game viewing experience and its species diversity.

Sabi Sand Wildtuin Association

A voluntary association of landowners who are members of the reserve make up the Sabi Sand Wildtuin Association. These members managing the shared interests of landowners for the combined protection of the reserve’s wildlife.

Management comprises of different departments that ensure the safety, upkeep, maintenance and preservation of the reserve as a whole.

Lodges on the reserve are privately owned and managed.
